Mizki was more traditional than the others in many senses. For one, she wore a kimono, something which barely any of the others had ever tried, and another thing, she was very mature and graceful, and possibly the most down-to-earth in the house.
"So, Mizki. Miz. Can I call you Miz? Or maybe Miz-chan..." Gakupo began, joining the young lady in the dining room. If there was one thing that could never be denied about Gakupo, it was that he was the biggest flirt that had ever set foot in the house.
"My name is Mizki, Kamui-san." Mizki said irritably. She had been the subject of Gakupo's so called "affection" for the last two weeks, and in no way was she endorsing it.
"Well, I'm sorry." he said, stroking her cheek with one of his purple-nailed fingers. Mizki shook him away. She had half a mind to slap him with her fan.
Just then, the twins Rin and Len burst in through the door.
"Gakupo!" they both shouted, launching themselves onto the violet-haired man's lap.
"My favourite twins. How are we today?"
"Good!" The two replied in unison. Gakupo smiled and tugged at Rin's hair bow.
"Can I borrow this some time? I think it'd look good on me" he said, pulling the headband off of the girl's head and placing it on his own. The twins giggled. Mizki, tired of the man's childish and immature behaviour, stalked off to find some peace somewhere else.

It was getting late. Most people had retired from the dancefloor, apart from three. Miku, Gumi and SeeU remained, all singing and dancing wildly. The three of them were young and stylish. Miki was too, but she found herself unable to join in the fun. She feared she would be made fun of for it. Shunned and harassed for trying to fit in.
Miki hated sulking; she found it an infantile way of expressing emotion, but sometimes she couldn't help it. She sloped away to the kitchen, opened the fridge and found a box of cherries. She began eating them until she'd finished them all.
Miku and Gumi's voices floated in through the doorway. They were singing together again. SeeU's laughter rang through afterwards. Miki threw the empty packet across the room and curled up into a ball, sitting with her back against the fridge. Her red hair fell across her shoulders like a waterfall. She stayed in that position for a few minutes; until she finally thought she was being stupid. Why should she be in the kitchen when they're all in the lounge? Why couldn't she join in? There wasn't a law against it, so she didn't see why not.
Miki got up and strode into the other room. Her confidence only faltered slightly when she saw the three girls laughing and dancing on the stage at the edge of the room. Miki took one look at them, and walked up there with them.
The three looked surprised; shocked, even. They stopped laughing and dancing immediately.
"Why are you here?" Gumi asked.
Miki took a deep breath. "I came to sing."

Her long blonde hair flowing out behind her and her blue eyes sparkling, Lily felt like a million dollars (she would have said a million yen, but it was a pitiful amount of money in comparison).
Lily was more known for her fashion sense than anything. Some people even had the nerve to say she didn't wear enough clothes anyway. Lily always greeted these comments with a hair flick and a few rude words.
She was so lost in thought that she didn't realise Yuma was standing in front of her until she walked straight into him.
"Lily, please be more careful." he said. Lily always disliked the way Yuma could act so cool all the time.
"Ooh! Hallway party!" Iroha said, joining the two of them. Lily had always found Iroha rather strange as well; especially the fact she appeared to lack hands, and always wore a helmet in the shape of a cat's head.
"Nekomura-san! Did you find Mew?" Yuma asked.
"Why yes I did, sir. She's in her room, being moody and sour as usual."
"Thank you." he said, already halfway up the stairs.
Lily and Iroha glanced at eachother, and for some reason, both burst out laughing. They both had the same idea. Perhaps it was time for the two of them to play matchmaker with their housemates.

The tension the letter had brought subsided quickly. It merely read that the newest member of the family, Oliver, was to be arriving unexpectedly and...immediately.
Ann and Al were very excited, as they were to be gaining a sibling, but their enthusiasm could have been rivalled by Sonika. Having had the most contact with him so far, Sonika felt it was a privilege if she were to be the first to meet him.
The house was in silence until the doorbell rang. Panic and chaos ensued straight away. It was a race between Sonika and Al to reach the door first. Al had the legs for running, but Sonika was more agile.
After managing to keep Al away by shutting him out of the porch, Sonika opened the door to find a young untidy boy with fluffy blonde hair and one yellow eye. The other appeared to be covered by a bandage, and the same went for both of his legs. He was barefoot, and he was wearing what looked to Sonika like a sailor's uniform. A small yellow bird was perched on his right shoulder.
"Oliver!" Sonika shrieked, embracing the boy in a tight grip.
"You're the green-haired lady?" he asked, a bit bewildered at the sudden display of affection.
"Yes! I am! Oh, come in, you must be freezing!" Sonika said, only just noticing his lack of shoes.
"No, actually, I'm fine." he picked up two patched-up brown leather suitcases and followed Sonika inside.
"Oh my God! My new brother!" Ann shouted, racing forwards and seizing Oliver.
"What's wrong with your old brother?" Al said, greeting Oliver by ruffling his hair.
"You're probably a very confused young mister." Miriam said. She smiled at the new arrival. "My name is Miriam. These are my brother and sister, Lola and Leon. This is Al, and this is Ann, your brother and sister. That's Sonika, and...where are Tonio and Prima?"
"I think they're coming now." Lola said, listening to the thudding of footsteps coming down the stairs.
"I told you, Tonio, only brush my hair in the morning with the pink brush, not the green one, and...oh! He's absolutely adorable!" Prima said, appearing at the top of the stairs. She promptly dropped a relieved Tonio's wrist, and tiptoed down the stairs gracefully and swiftly.
"How old is he? Eight?" she spoke of him as if he were a puppy.
"No, actually, I'm..." Oliver was cut off as he was embraced by yet another house member.
"Welcome home, Oliver." Al said, hugging his little brother.

"Hey, Kaito! There she is! The new girl!"
"What? Where?"
"Put that damn ice cream down! She's over there!"
"The purple-haired one?"
"Yes!"
Piko and Kaito had been waiting to see new girl Rion for a few days now. They had decided she needed a tour of the house, and that they would be the ones to give it to her.
Rion stood, staring at the photographs on the wall, when two boys came up to her.
"Hi there! I'm Kaito!" said the blue-haired one.
"And I'm Piko!" the silver-haired one with one blue eye and one green added.
"Hello. I'm Rion Tone. Or Tone Rion. Whichever one you prefer!" the cute girl smiled.
"Would you care to do us the honour of joining us on a tour of the house, Tone-san?" the two boys grinned.
"Hold it right there. What are you two up to now?" a woman said, entering the room. Kaito and Piko froze.
"Heh...Megurine-san, would you care to join us on the tour, too?" Kaito asked sheepishly. The lady frowned at him.
"What are they doing?" she asked Rion.
"Nothing at all...er..."
"Luka. Luka Megurine. Welcome to our family. Please excuse these two. They have a distinct lack of manners." Luka glared at Kaito and Piko.
"Lovely to meet you, miss!" Rion said sweetly. "Erm...I'm sorry to bother you, but who are these people? I thought I'd met everyone in the house." she gestured to one of the photos on the wall.
"They're part of our extended family. They live in England." Kaito said proudly. Rion smiled at him.
"Wow. So they speak English?" she asked.
"Yep. So does Luka here." Kaito replied.
"That's so cool!" Rion said. She turned to look at the photo again. Everyone in it looked so happy.
"That girl in the yellow coat with the green hair is kinda cute." Piko said. Luka sighed and Rion giggled. She liked living there already.

I'm not a fanfic sort of person (as in this is my first!), but I thought I'd do this because
a) It's the holidays.
b) I love Vocaloids (Engloids in particular).
c) The Vocaloids don't have 100% canon personalities.
d) I love writing, and I've done so since the age of 4.
e) I'm not very good at drawing.

NOTE: Return of the Engloids with new member Oliver!
Happy Birthday Big Al! (22nd December)
Is Rion her first name? (Please correct me if I'm wrong.) Because if it is, hers and Leon's name will be pronounced the same in Japan, and that might get a little confusing...

Some awesome songs by the Engloids:
Lola and Leon: [link] Cendrillon (cover)
Miriam: (Angels Fly Away isn’t very good, but I haven’t had the time to find any new songs!)
Sweet Ann and Big Al: [link] Headline Love (original)
